- Sri Lankan citizen
- Under 25 years old
- Good physical and mental health
- Passed G.C.E. (O/L) with a minimum "C" in English
- Passed G.C.E. (A/L) in physical science stream with all three subjects passed in one sitting
- Good command of English (program conducted in English)
Selection Process:
- Written aptitude test (math, general knowledge, intelligence)
- Interview
- Top scorers from both stages are chosen

- Fill out the application form in English
- Submit scanned copies of G.C.E. (O/L), G.C.E. (A/L) certificates, and birth certificate (all in PDF format)
Important Notes:
- Tuition and hostel fees are covered by the government. Students pay for food, personal expenses, etc.
- Selected candidates must sign an agreement to complete the program and abide by institute rules.
- Early termination requires full reimbursement of government-funded expenses.
